Amy was a grown-up, legally, even tho sometimes she acted like a kid. Hell, we all do it from time to time, but we are more responsible of our actions, right? You can't blame the parents for her death, indeed, but Mitch should have at least shut up, not encourage the same media that fucked up with Amy everytime they had the chance. Her dad works on fame, there are much more pro-s than con-s about this. Look at her mom, how many times did she come to say anything? I'm sure Mitch wanted to help, in his own way, but imo he did much more worse.
Over Belgrade, I agree more and more with @Sassy , they should have let her start again with small avenues, not arenas.
I can't even look at those videos, anymore. I think Winehouse had mentally checked out, long ago. I just think she died of a tired and broken heart. I just wish whatever was troubling her so, could have been healed. If wishes and buts were candy and nuts....

what do you mean she was high? as we all know (from Mitch) that she has been cleaned for almost 3 years, so do you think she relapsed?
Prescription drugs, probably - more than one way to get wrecked if that's what you really wanna do. You don't even need medication - if you're desperate enough there's basic household products you can use.
We may never know the whole truth - money can hide a multitude of sins, people can be paid off, threatened with the sack etc.. the band, for example, say they had seen her in a state and refused to play, they'd have probably been fired.
My personal feeling is, Mitch was naive to have trusted Raye to take care of her, especially not the second time, after how she was around the time of the Rio gigs.

I definitely agree with that. It's practically unheard off for a comeback tour to go straight to stadiums. Makes no sense, especially given the fact everyone knows she suffered pre-show nerves at the best of times.
Guess the pull of the money was just too much for the management and promoters. Reprehensible. For that, I will never forgive them.... I just hope for their sake God does, cos it's him they have to answer to in the end.

She was high. As an ex-user myself and someone who has worked around addicts, I would bet my house that she was using more than alcohol that night. Prescription drugs to help with the drinking maybe, but drugs nonetheless.
Tragic. I still can't watch the clips from Belgrade. I tel you what, though - I'd LOVE to know who was charged with watching her that day because they clearly failed.
I'm no expert on the matter, but I tend to agree with you. Wouldn't bet my house, but she had performed drunk more than once before, as we all know, and from what i have seen and read, this one really seems different (aside from the fact that she was obviously in deep deep emotional distress). I've seen people drunk, I've seen people high on various substances, I've seen people both drunk and high on legal or illegal substances of all kinds, and I agree, maybe it was a mix of alcohol and prescription drugs (and they really really don't mix well...).
Still can't watch the clips from Belgrade either, and I'm not sure I ever will (not sure I want to, for that matter). I've tried to watch a few of them, but every time, 30 seconds or 1 minute in, I had to stop, because it's absolutely gut-wrenching. At some points, it's literally a cry for help... And what's gut-wrenching too is - knowing what she was capable of at her best - to think that is forever going to be her last concert... Can't imagine how she felt, can't even begin to imagine how painful it must have been...
Still can't understand how someone, whoever they are, let that humiliation happen. How could anyone let her go on stage in that state, let alone let the thing go on for so long, or worse even, if that's true, force her to perform ?! Don't know if we'll ever know what happened, but some people clearly failed her here, and the whole thing still makes me angry when I think about it too much... Because when I really think about it, the only reason I see is money. If that's the reason (although it obviously wouldn't be the first time money rules everything, I know, I'm not that naive) it's sickening, disgusting, revolting beyond words... and absolutely UN-FOR-GI-VA-BLE!!!

Some days I am ok with never really knowing the answers behind my Amy questions. Other days, it drives me crazy. As most people on the forum have said, we will problem never know.

Mama_Haze : I always found it strange too. I do not believe was drugged with Class A drugs but I do not understand how she could stand up if she was drunk at this point.
Me anyway, when I drink as much I fall asleep after having vomited all ^ ^
I never thought about prescription drugs but it makes sense. Her father said after her death, indeed, she was taking. Mix could have led to this sad result.

I wish they would pull all of the Belgrade footage.
So do I, sometimes. Every time one of the videos comes up on the side-bar on Youtube, in fact, because they really have a lot of views, more than many of her best performances. Makes me angry every time...

I don't want people to remember her in such way. I hope there's a miracle that her management or family take it all from YouTube and other sites.
I guess what happened in Belgrade remains mystery. and so does her death.. We'll never know
God rest her soul..
You're wondering how, you will pay for the way you misbehaved.
I will love you forever Amy Jade x

I can't watch anymore of that show because it's not how I want to remember Amy. It was a terrible night and a terrible way to go out.
Maybe it will be a lesson for a young performer, I doubt it.

I don't watch this concert. Just makes me too sad.
I know right! It's terrible that her managers would make her perform like that. Yeah, they really cared about Amy. (sarcasm)

I understand that these were her decisions and we obviously werent there but.... she may still be with us if someone actually gave a shit about her. She just needed a friend as she said in rehabUnbelievable.

You know her friend that she texted very early in the morning? Kristian Marr I believe his name is. I always wonder if he had replied to her, if she'd still be alive. In some weird way, I just wonder about if a little thing would've happened different, would she still be here. That was hard to understand, I'm sure.I understand that these were her decisions and we obviously werent there but.... she may still be with us if someone actually gave a shit about her.
