Does anyone happen to know the lyrics of Trilby? I love the song but can't find any in the world of internet.
I am trying to make the most of my listening, but hell, English isn't my first language and I'm a major fashion idiot(a lot of name-dropping in this song, I suppose), so all you native speakers, please help:'(

I think song is interesting because, as we all know, Amy went by BunnyCaress on her Yahoo Group. She also mentions a lot of the fashion items we know she loved. Cigarette pants, ballet shoes, her feminine versions of bowling shirts. There are pictures of her during the Frank era wearing trilby caps. Also, she references Imelda Marcos who had a massive collection of shoes.

I know about the Bunny thing that's why I really want to know the exact lyrics to the song. I used to think it's Bonnie and I'm like who the hell is Bonnie. I get a sense that there must be some witty lyrics but I feel like an arsehole not knowing how to appreciate it. Anyway I have never heard anything called Cigarette pants. I learn something new today, thank you! My mother would love it.

No problem! It is a witty little song. It's not particularly profound or groundbreaking like a lot of her other songs but I love it because it shows how she thought of herself at the time...a sort of glamorous fashionista maneater.

I am in love with most of her B-sides and leftover and I think this song needs a little more recognition. You can find lyrics of all of her songs but this one. Why nobody gives a shit about Trilby? I get a Erykah Badu vibe from this song. Also I love that she made a song for shoes and bags, it shows a little different side of her.
