I'm trying to hear "hustler" but all I hear is "lover". Uggghhh.... this song is tricky when it comes to that part. It makes sense for both to me.

Well whatever works for you, just don't get lover tattooed because it's definitely hustler I think I've listened to that part more times than all of her songs put together!!

Haha, I'm not getting this song tatted on me. I think this is a great song but if it were possible she should of re-did the vocals. This song (from the first time I heard it) reminds me of her live performances. How she prononciates and ab-libs words.

.. If we learn anything from people like Amy Winehouse it's that we shouldn't believe everything we read in the music industry. She was high when she wrote and recorded this song so it's not as well thought out as her first two albums....obviously. It's not very coherent and the lyrics are pronounced in an over the top Amy style, which was looser on back to black even before all the Blake aftermath. Since drugs in 2005 her lyrics and voice leaned over to more simplistic ways of bringing a song to life. The watered down approach is what brought her into the mainstream of pop music.

is this seriously a debate? of course it's hustler....u cant hear her exhale as she says ''HUSSSS...luurr"?? just as she does when she says ''HENNNddsummmm'' she was jewish ppl, like barbra streisand says, "we pronounce our H's as if we're choking on popcorn"
