Its been almost year now and still we have heard nothing about a movie about Amy that will be
true to who she was. I know Mitch came out and stated he wouldnt approve of one But this has now lead
to independent film/dvd makers creating cheap /not accurate films about her.
I saw one last night . My worry is that since they are doing this that once again the public will recieve
bad information about her and this will be her legecy . I know everyone at this forum knows better
but thats not who i am talking about . I am talking about the general public who may only know her thru
the tabliods( rag papers) and now are interested in knowing her life and what really happened to her and
all they have now to refer to is cheap productions made quickly to cash in on Amy's death.
I hope Amy's family will understand that NOT approving an accurate account of her life that they have just opened the flood gates to more bad people using Amy's Image/life in music in a negative way again..
This woman deserves the Best of everything and even in death deserves the best production available.
:heart:Its time .. We all miss her and for all those people out there who dont , they should be a movie that
shows them why we love her so much...

there would never be a good one because unless you were a pap that knew her every move it would never be correct and what she wore on a certain day, etc.
i couldnt stand it!
My opinions are divided. What you say is also one of my fears. Is it going to be dramatic? Is that Amy will look like an angel? Nothing worth the truth but in this case, we cannot have it. On the other hand, I would like a movie because that would be something new on Amy. Even if it's not really her ... honestly, I don't know what would be my reaction for this movie once made.

About Amy ?
yes, my friend got that stupid movie that came out , dont want to mention the name again
but we had a thread about it b/4. Anyway as i sat there and watching what i could before being totally
upset by it , I started thinking about people watching this and being mislead again about her.
I dont agree withJulienboo who said we would need info from pop, there were alot of people around her
who knew who she was and could be truthful about her.
there have been many auto biographical movies about singing stars that have been done well and
have given those stars the respect they deserve.
I could use RAY as an example. here was a singer : Ray Charles , who i had heard his music before
but never knew who he was . After the movie i gained a ton of respect for him and what he accomplished
BTW ray charles was a drug addict at one time and even got arrested for it. but the way he was portrayed
in the movie you learn that he was so much more & thats what i would like to see . A movie that shows
How talented she was, how unique she was, how she changed the music scene when she came out with back to black...

your right Mitch did say that,, BUt thats what i am trying to say . By Mitch not wanting to do it , we now have crap coming out
that just does what the tabloids did . Amy should be seen in a good light ..

Ah ok, I remember. I refused to watch this film, I don't regret my decision with what you say.

It happens even with small details. Like in the movie "The Doors" (which I don't like at all), they portray the band playing on the Ed Sullivan show. They show them being asked not to include a certain lyric in their performance and then they show them performing the song with Jim lunging at the camera and growling out that lyric very deliberately. And that is absolutely not what happened. In the actual footage of the performance, he does sing the lyric but he doesn't emphasize it at all. I get why they do things like that but it bothers me and I think it would probably drive us all nuts in a movie about Amy.
"Anyone who sings a tune so sweet is passin' by..."
