I'm kind of loving the pics that follow... dark hair was more striking on her obviously, but I like her face!

I find it hard to believe Amy liked some of those songs, lol... I don't know, I'd expect that list to be a lot different.

Macy Gray is not incredible in my opinion. I always thought Amy didn't like being compared to her, as much as she didn't like being compared to Norah Jones.

well it was list of songs they (Mitch and Amy) liked listening to, so like AMD it's from Mitch's piint of view. I kind of imagine Macy Grey coming on on the radio while he's driving her somewhere, and them both singing along with it (there was a time where you couldn't go ANYWHERE without hearing that song), and him having fond memories of that so adding it to the list. I don't think it means she was a fan as such. I see it more as a list of songs they shared, not musicians she liked (note the distinct lack of hip-hop there, or soweto kinch, etc!).

Completely agree! That list is not really according to the music we know Amy was a real fan of.

Yeah, because there are a ton of songs that I love but I wouldn't dream of listening to anything else by the artist.

But man i would have loved to hear Amy sing "I Try." She would have rocked it hard!

I thought there used to be a thread of songs you wished Amy had covered, but I can't find it...

 

Anyway, just wanted to say I would've LOVED to listen to an entire album of Amy singing Stevie Wonder covers...and also wish they had been able to duet before she died. Oh well.
