When someone has time, can we work on getting these deleted?

And can we prevent new members from creating blogs until they have 10 posts?

I'm sorry to dig this thread up again, I know you moderators have a lot of work on your hands, but the spam seems to be a growing problem. As I write this, according to the forum's statistics the last 24 hours has seen 4067 blog entries, all of them spam. They mostly seem to be advertising the sale of pharmaceuticals, which is not only illegal, but also potentially dangerous.

I don't have the technical expertise to know how to deal with this problem, but is there a way to make the registration process for the forum more secure?

edit: maybe we can make use of Captcha and confirmation e-mails for new member registrations?

Thanks AJH, I know you work very hard getting rid of spammers. Unfortunately it seems to have become a problem that's too big to deal with by just banning the culprits. For every one you ban, 10 or 100 or however many new ones pop up. I really think it might be worth trying to make the registration process more secure and perhaps also introducing something like Captcha for every new blog post. I don't know how feasable that is withing the structure of the forum though, so I'll leave it to the tech experts.
