I really like his tone and expression, but his diction is appalling. If you're going to perform a song, at least go to the effort of learning the lyrics and pronunciation rather than just sounding drunk. I've sung in Italian/German/Latin from memory and it's not that hard if you put the time in.

I was going to say the same thing. If he actually sang the words, it could have sounded really, really good. However, it sounds like he's trying to approximate the sounds of the English words (clearly English is not his first language!). I've also sung in multiple languages, and (too my recollection :)) have never had such bizarre diction problems!

For us, Italian, diction is a big problem! :D

So I've heard from my Italian friends. :) Likewise, Italian is quite difficult, too, for us English natives. Getting rid of diphthongs, stressing the double consonants ("bella," "fetta," etc.)

I always feel like in Italian it's all a's. Us Dutch don't put that much ''passion'' into our words either, so learning Italian was quite difficult for me and I'm quite far away from being able to speak Italian. I can read it, I can somewhat understand it, but.. man those Italians are fast talkers!

I think Marco did well, though. Ben fatto!

Yeah, Italian is really hard, imo. But it sounds like he didn't even know the lyrics.

Maybe it's because his voice recording is low quality? Clearly he's able to improve. Nice guy though.
