The eclectic mix of conversation, music and comedy focuses on entertainment during World War Two, leading to D-Day. The much missed presenter Ned Sherrin (who died in 2007) is joined by comedians Ken Dodd, Roy Hudd, Arthur Smith, musician Shelia Tracy and writer Anthony Horowitz. There is music from the Glen Miller Orchestra, and a unique performance of Sentimental Journey by Amy Winehouse, who died in 2011.

it makes me wonder how many recordings are there waiting to see the light...
I'm almost sure she sang this when she performed with the NYJO (National Youth Jazz Orchestra) back in July, 2000

Exactly! I don't think there are (m)any new original songs, but I reckon there are loads of covers from her, from the early days definitely, and possibly from private recordings when she was just sitting around her home studio singing away.

Thanks for posting this Uno, I would've completely missed that if you hadn't pointed it out. I can't remember hearing the program when it was first on, even though I am a Radio 4 listener - although in June 2004 I may have been too busy trying to hang on to my unraveling sanity
