It's about the guy she's seeing not getting her into the Slick Rick show which pisses her off, so she's saying no one gets between her and her man (Nas) who's playing a gig at Brixton Academy. ('Ruler's one thing, but come Brixton, nobody stands in between me and my man'). So basically saying it's bad enough making her miss Slick Rick but no man would make her miss Nas.

I seem to remember reading that the guy who can (and doesn't) get her tickets to these concerts was someone she worked with, so I think this could go back to the days when she was at Wenn, or when she was preparing Frank. I don't know why, I always figured this song referenced earlier events, or had maybe even been written before B2B.

I managed to find who it was a while ago, his name was George Bascombe Roberts who she went to the Brits 2005 with.

He worked as a promoter and now manages Eliza Doolittle apparently.
