Here's another little Q&A interview that's not online anymore ...

My Secret Life - Amy Winehouse
The Independent
February 7, 2004

I drive/ride ... in my friend's Clio.

If I have time to myself ... I think about writing something, set aside time to play, clean my house, do my life.

You wouldn't know it but I'm very good at ... playing pool. I love it, but I'm a bad loser. It's never about the other person, it's about my own failure.

You may not know it but I'm very bad at ... saying I'm sorry. I'm really stubborn; I can be a right little donkey sometimes.

The person I'm closest to is ... my cousin Lauren, who I call my sister.

Comfort reading ... Catch 22. I hadn't read it since I was 12, but I picked it up again recently and I'm getting so much more from it now.

Comfort eating ... sausage and mash and peas, or anything my nan makes (her chopped meat is the best), or McDonald's.

Moving pictures ... It's a Wonderful Life, Hitchcock's Vertigo, Dirty Dancing, From Here to Eternity ... Why do I love them? How long have you got? I'd be in film studies if I could. I could write you an essay on them.

My biggest regret ... I don't have any, nothing whatsoever, life's too short.

When I was a child I wanted to be ... a lab technician (like my mum), a dancer (just because kids do), a journalist (I was one for a couple of years too).

I wish I'd never worn ... the stuff my dad used to dress me in when I was little. I hated it. He once bought my brother and me matching gloves, hats and berets with woolly rosettes on them. He thought we looked great - I can assure you we didn't.

My biggest influence... London. I feel privileged growing up in the city, I've been given a unique view of life. I always miss it. I'm never more excited than when landing back home.

Gadget I can't live without ... the phone, because you can talk to people without seeing them, which means you can lie more.
