I've gone through many CD compilations featuring this wonderful performance but all of them are lossy sourced with a cutoff already at 13kHz. Does anyone know of a lossless source for this track?

This song came from BBC Radio 2's 'The Gospel according to Christmas' which was pre-recorded at Union Chapel on Dec 15th then aired on Christmas Day 2004. I imagine that what has been floating around all these years was ripped from that radio broadcast and then uploaded to YouTube (over and over again). Hopefully the BBC will air the show again on some future Christmas so at least we can get an 'untouched' version of the original recording.

Yes, I remember your detective work from years ago (Thanks!). I was referring to the european CD compilations released by Universal. I assume they must have been legally licensed or perhaps they're not legit.

I wish they'd also included it in the CD box. B-sides and rarities instead of inferior remixes.
