The price is a bit steep just to get Santa in supposedly better sonics. I'm a music collector, not a package collector.

The CD collection sounds a bit ridiculous, it's just the albums and some remixes and a live gig. Depends on the gig though, Union Chapel would be a DREAM. As for the singles, I might just get the box. I love 7"s and it might be cheaper than collecting all of the singles in mint/NM condition one by one. I'm curious to see the art cards as well.

The gig is just Shepherd’s Bush again. A near perfect set for newbies I guess. They should've included tracks like "Lately" (could have been B-side to Santa) which is already out there anyway - it deserves wider exposure!!! I also like art cards. I've got a bunch of Amy on my walls. I'd be great if the lyrics booklet contains Amy's handwritten lyrics.

These record companies never seem to do anything right. I wish they would listen to the fans. I’m curious to see the art cards and the booklet.

That's a real shame, honestly. They're really straining to string out pieces of her legacy. It's depressing when you think about it, really. It's telling that they don't really have a lot to share aside from some demos and live gigs.

Yes it seems so criminally unfair to Amy and music that there isn’t anything much left. She was such a good writer. I wish they would release her lyrics in like a coffee table book or something.

Unfair to music - that's a great expression. One could say the same thing about Nick Drake. I was listening to the new reissue of Prince's Sign o' the Times the other day. There's hours of unreleased stuff, all of it very interesting. If only Amy had this large amount of recordings.
One thing that I'd love to see, which will never happen, is a Complete Recording Session(s) release. I'm sure some would find such a release disrespectful, but when there's so few recordings available to begin with... Artists like Bob Dylan has given us full (almost) unedited recording sessions (I realize this is partly due to the EU copyright laws). FTD in Denmark has given us almost 200 volumes of unreleased Elvis Presley recordings since 1999 and they recently began releasing complete recording sessions. For me, these releases do not tarnish the artist's reputation. Seeing Amy's performance on Charlotte Church's show or Rock in Rio did not make me think less of her. It's been said that Amy never did many takes each song, certainly not as many as Dylan or Elvis. It would be nice to at least have a Complete Recording Sessions book - from Sweet & Sour (I think someone said that they did pro studio or semi-pro studio recordings) to Body & Soul, detailing how many takes of each song she recorded, how many false starts and breakdowns, how many complete takes, featured musicians, which studio etc. Fleshed out with interviews and essays from people involved with the recordings as well as pictures from the sessions. This has been done for groups like Beatles and ABBA.
A handwritten lyrics book and more photobooks are also high on my wishlist, especially in large format coffeetable size. Amy constantly repeated how she was not a model but my god how insanely photogenic she was

So the CD collection, as expected, contains to standard CD mastering (ie. the worst) of the 3 main albums. Surprisingly, the Live CD is is more dynamic than the stereo track on the bluray. The remixes sound the same to what has been available before, save for some differences in headroom/peak levels.

What I wouldn't do for a digital release (with no umg watermarking) of the Miles Showell mastering in its native resolution...

Did anyone get the singles box?
