Since I'm the only fastidious audiophile here I have to say this was a big sonic disappointment (listening via lossless download). A sharp cutoff at 16.5kHz with only noise above, up to Nyquist, which makes it sound filtered. Excessive dynamic range compression in line with the Loudness Wars, brickwalled vocals. Overly bright tonality. Big time abuse of digital mastering tools!
In conclusion: aggressive, harsh and flat
The performance itself is lovely though

Nerd language lol. I sometimes wish that I could just enjoy the music and not get hung up on technical flaws.
It's mastering especially adapted for earbuds and noisy environments (although this doesn't explain the bad frequency response). Motown and others did the same back in the day when they mixed and mastered their records specifically to sound good on AM Radio.
