Hi! Everyone.

I just read the auction pamphlet and it was interesting to see the CD's she listened to. Didn't know that she had some Jimi Hendrix CDs. Watching the 2021 Doc made me realize how much her parents had to let go. Their pain might never heal but at least they can find some happiness. One item that really caught my eye was a portable hard drive. The songs that could be there!! I don't if they would have wiped it. But even if they did. it's not gone forever. Please let me know what you think.

'What’s wrong with Amy’s young relatives benefiting in years to come, she would love that,' the spokesperson said. 'Why shouldn’t the family benefit? Who usually benefits from a deceased family member’s belongings? Does every family give all inheritance away to charity?'

Would it kill them to spend for any type of PR team?

I felt so voyeuristic looking through that catalogue. It's so sad looking through a dead person's belongings.

One thing that struck me was the variaty of sizes!

Shoes ranged from size 36 to 39.

But more shockingly, some of the clothes she wore (size 36/38 or UK size 10) in the Frank years, when she was being called chubby! Size 38 is not chubby for fuck's sake! And then some of them she wore were also a size 38, when she was skeletal. It's just nuts to think of the pressure she was under (as all women in showbusiness). Anyway, I digress....

Wait, I just saw this in the listing:

"a disc case that includes 14 DVDs (three are commercial, the rest are home recorded; many of the home recordings have handwritten labeling)".

What the hell is on these DVD's ??? It seems so strange to think people will be in possession of such personal items. Does that mean home videos of Amy are going to start surfacing ?

Thank you for writing this. Yes, she was bullied by the media right from the start and then it transgressed to being bullied by the whole world. It's appalling how women are being treated by media in general. Men have it so much easier.

I disagree on the last part. Male acts had it really bad too at that time, especially the "heartthrob" types who gain weight.

Men still have it easier. They are allowed to grow old.

I've been wondering about that too. Why would they auction home-made tapes, wouldn't it make more sense for the family to keep them?

I don't take this as home movies, I take it has she recorded Shows or Movies from a DVD writer or Computer.
