Does anyone else find it strange that Raye didn't know that Amy couldn't drink on Librium, a medication that you absoloutely cannot drink on and can lead to serious consequences (as we saw)? My only guess was that he didn't know she was taking it, which is even weirder to me that her manager didn't know the medication his client was on. It just blows my mind that Tyler says the only reason she was able to get a drink that night was because he stepped out of the room. Why was he the only one who knew she was taking it, even though he says she couldn't drink on that tour because of insurance??

There's just so many questions about that night that I still feel are unanswered. Was Amy pushed on stage or was she helped on like Tyler said? Did she go on stage with her makeup originally done? Because I saw pictures of her hair and makeup perfectly done, but the majority of pictures of that night, she looks a mess.

If anyone has what they feel is the truth about that night, please share.

I found it also unbelievable that her state during the Belgrade concert was only because of Raye. Before reading the book, I though she managed to get wasted by herself, not that her own manager deliberately gave her a drink. But we all know now how much she was evolving in a toxic work environment. I think one of her biggest mistake was to drop Nick Shymansky as her manager after Frank. Everyone is blaming Mitch or Blake, but I don't think Raye is held responsible enough for what happened.

The fact she was sent out on stage is awful, but not at all surprising. From my understanding, Amy was surrounded by leeches at the end of her life, a process which began sometime after the release of Frank.

At Belgrade Amy was clearly worse than before, even her 2008 concerts. Nobody talks about how cruel her production company was in letting her on stage for more than one hour?!? And I don't care about agreements or contracts, I am talking about humanity.

Yes, I wish Amy had stayed with Nick. He had her best interests at heart while Raye was a good manager business-wise, but thats it.

Still, I don't believe that Raye should be solely blamed for that night. It was a combination of so many things. As Tyler writes in his book, Amy would yell at Raye and harass him until she got a drink. Many people around her would just give it to her because it was easier. It's enabling though. That's why I'm wondering whether Raye even knew she was on Librium. It's such a tough situation, but many around her were irresponsible, including Amy herself. She acknowledged to Tyler that she was taking Librium and therefore, couldn't drink on that tour.

Right. I want to believe that Raye actually gave a fuck about her? But the amount of times he and Mitch claimed that Amy wanted to do these things when it was obvious she didn't, it makes me question everything. Tyler said he wasn't sure if she was telling people different things.

Yeah, she wasn't just drunk at Belgrade. It was the Librium. She blacked out, essentially. They really should have pulled her off stage! Her band should have refused to continue playing. I just don't understand what was wrong with everyone.

I hate her pianist who said in the doc "she was willing to sacrifice her musical relationships". Like, shut up! Her musical relationships were willing to sacrifice her and her sanity!

Don't forget that they let Amy perform for more than one hour and hundreds of videos were posted immediately on social media. What strikes me is the fact that Amy was watching videos of herself the night before her death (along with good videos of her singing). I am pretty sure she found the Belgrade videos, as they became viral at that time.

No of course he doesn't have to take all the blame but the fact that he didn't know she was taking medication for her alcoholism shows how little he was interested about her life or cared about her. And yes I can imagine how she could be unbearable with everyone when she wanted a drink, in the end she is definitively the most irresponsible.

I think at this point her management was just fed up with her and just wanted her to sing at any cost, even if it means giving her a glass of wine during the recording of Body and Soul and causing her to relapse.
