Hi! I am trying to gather some info regarding Blake's career before meeting Amy (before March 2005 approximately). All I know is that he is/was a film/music video director but I couldn't find one single music video he produced. How did he earn a living? And what has he done after Amy's passing?

 

I remember seeing him in LDN by Lily Allen's music video but the director was Nima Nourizadeh.

I think he was just floating around and finding odd jobs. He allegedly dropped out of school at 17 then moved to London. I also saw another article that said he went to college at one point? but I'm not sure how true that is. And after Amy he overdosed in 2012, met Sarah Aspin and they had 1 or 2 kids. It seemed like he often relapsed because around 2016 or so he stole a womans purse and his apartment set on fire.

Blake Fielder-Civil, who wrote poetry in his younger years, left school and came to London in 2001.

I don't think he was ever a producer or director, he seemed to be referred to as a 'video production assistant' but as you say, I don't know of anything he has done in that line of work apart from being in Lily Allen's music video for about a second and a half 

 

In those circles, he could have been a 'runner', doing odd jobs on sets, but I find it hard to imagine him doing any sort of work lol. I'd say his main form of income was from being a 'Professional Amy Winehouse Associate'.

He used to work at Old Blue Last, Amy performed there and worked there. I can't find any songs she sang, only the setlist which is also the FIRST TIME she performed songs off of her second studio album "Back To Black"! how cool!

i hope so! I was looking to see when Amy's voice got the most deep. or whatever you call it. but, every video (1) from 2005 she sounds AND looks like frank era... very, strange dyt??
