What happened to Amy's voice?

Unfortunately, she never performed like this ever again (unless I'm wrong, please link the video). So what happened? It's unfathomable to me that her voice changed because of the drugs, because if so, how did she pull off the Bestival performance, which was at the end of 2008.
We know that she went to St. Lucia and replaces drugs with alcohol. Did this period permanently alter her voice forever? Was it the combination of alcohol, bulimia, and a lack of self confidence?

i'm no doctor but here's my conclusion, i think she had emphysema from her heavy smoking, which could've caused breath control problems. as far as her actual voice, i feel bulimia played a huge part. the constant vomiting, stomach acid likely caused harm to her vocal chords. the alcohol possibly is a factor too because i know sometimes when i drink, i notice a sore/burning throat from the harshness of hard liquor.
here's a read i found on it if you'd like to learn more: https://www.webmd.co...ia-effects-body

I always believed bulimia was the reason for her tooth falling out as well. It most likely weakened her enamel and caused them to be more fragile.

I had no idea bulimia can also result in self-harming. My god, poor Amy. Well the eating disorder itself is self-harm, it's the cutting part I didn't know about.

I think I was put on this Earth to make people laugh. Would have loved to make Amy laugh at least once.

Also eating Haribos like her life depended on it.

yes & i feel the bulimia was also was a way for her to control some part of her life. and as someone who used to self harm & still struggles with the urges, i feel for her. unfortunately, it was one of the first things i noticed about her.I had no idea bulimia can also result in self-harming. Amy did a lot of bad performances. She was terrible in Portugal on May 08 and again at a children's charity gig in 09, with the Hackney Colliery band Camden 2010 and, of course, the disaster in Belgrade, to name a few, all due to her lifestyle. From about 08 onwards, when things were really showing for her health, etc... I, along with, 1000s of others, were saying things like better no more music, and she, gets clean than to carry on the way she was. When the start of 2011 came it seemed after seeing her performances in Brazil there was a glimmer of hope because although they weren't perfect they were better than they had been, but she was poor on Dubai the next month{although there were technical problems} and she was booed, then 4 month later she did her last show in Serbia. Just for the record she was still texting Blake, and he had become a dad again in the May and I always thought it was strange how she flew home from Serbia on Monday the 20th June after canceling the tour and the next day Blake went down again for 2yrs 8 months so I wonder if all that was playing on her mind at the time.

One thing thing I'll never understand was her fascination with Blake. I think both of her parents would agree on that. One point she's angry as hell with him and wants nothing to do with the guy (around 2009 after she cleaned up) then in 2010 she's dating him again after all the bullshit he put her through, getting "Blake's Girl" stitched on a pink polo. Drugs or no drugs, he played part in fucking up her life further. Beat the crap out of her more than once, one instance it appeared as she he tried to strangle her (telltale signs from signs of struggle from the scratches on Blake's face and the bruises on her neck) I just don't fucking get it at all.
I'm sure she had other men in her life that would have swept her up and treated her far better. I guess when you're someone who doesn't love themselves, you feel as if you don't deserve anyone good. I wonder if things would have played out much differently if Tyler didn't reject her for marriage. Even Mitch wanted her to do it because she was always safe around Tyler who loved her unconditionally. But their history complicated things. Seemingly from how he phrased his comeback, Tyler might've if the circumstances weren't dire. I don't think anything could change my mind that he was in love with her for years. It gives "Best For Me" a whole different meaning for me. it appeared to me nobody was more devastated by her death than Tyler.

I've never understood what she saw in Blake at all,she was a good looking woman before she met him and could have had her pick of most men yet she goes with an ugly no hoper like him.I'm yet to think of one good thing he could have offered her

He is pretty ugly to say the least. A hustler, a survivor, usually not the type of guy any girl in her right mind should be associating herself with. The more I learned about him I feel a bit empathetic but still hasn't wavered by dislike of the guy for what he put Amy through. He loved being a drug addict. Seemingly ungrateful that such a woman would pick him out all the men she could have chosen, making a total ass out of himself during events of hers he was privileged to be part of. Asshole. Whether she truly loved him or not, I don't care. I love Amy but that doesn't mean I have to agree with everything she did.
