no matter how many times i rewatch amy, the ending gets me EVERYTIME. her people talking about her getting well, her body being carried out her house, her funeral, the memorabilia outside her home, the solemn MUSIC with the MONTAGE. i just wish i could've grabbed & saved her. i am sobbing as i type this. then they had the audacity to add valerie at the end when everyone is already drowning in their own tears. i've never met her, in fact, i was six when she passed, but i mourn her like someone i've known my entire life.

I always tear up when they show Janis and Richard. It really breaks me to see a parent who's lost their child. And Richard helping Janis into the car and the sad look he gives her. So heartbreaking.

The montage is definitely when the tears really flow. I love the documentary. They did a phenomenal job.

Yes, I feel the same way, the documentary is fantastic. Did you know we won an Oscar? In the acceptance speech, Kapadia says that this Oscar would also be for the many Amy Winehouse fans who always stuck by her and love her. When I'm sad, I just can't watch the film, the beginning is like a fairy tale and I love Amy as she was there, but then everything goes dark and the end with the montage of photos and music, that's  is such a big discrepancy between the images and the ending that it always makes me cry. It's just so unfair. And I'm always surprised at how much Amy touches me emotionally, even though I've (unfortunately) never met her.

'Amy''s movie team even came to forum back in 2013 to gather material for film. Asif Kapadia always respected fans. What I can't say about Sam Taylor-Johnson

I feel the same way; I mourn her too. I haven’t been able to watch Amy in a while because it’s just too sad. When Tony Bennett talks about her at the end; that also made me tear up. Such a powerful film.

Totally understand. Amy is still one of the ONLY artists that touches me to the point that I still get very emotional about her passing over a decade later. Truly one of the most amazing artists of all time in my personal opinion.
