This is a question I have had on my mind for a long time now. I always wonder how Amy treated her fans. In one interview with Kelly Osbourne, Amy stated that she couldn't wrap her head around the fact that she had fans and that she found it quite silly. (https://youtu.be/2uY...mK0-ICgjB&t=125)

I hope this question doesn't sound mean or anything; I'm just curious.

From videos and pictures I've seen she was often nice and was open to taking pictures. In a video of her and Blake at the train station I think she did ignore one fan but they were being kind of rude and invasive anyways.

Das ist eine schwierige Frage: Ich habe Amy oft sehr höflich mit Fans gesehen, wenn sie zum Beispiel um Autogramme gebeten haben. Das war die eine Seite von ihr. Andererseits hat sie den ganzen Hype um sie nie verstanden und wollte das auch nicht. Und es gibt diese Art von Fans, die Privatsphäre und Distanz zu einem Star nicht verstehen. Dass sie glauben, dass sie immer für sie da sein sollte. Z.B. an ihrer Tür klingeln, ihr zu nahe kommen. Trotz der Tatsache, dass Amy oft in einem schrecklichen Zustand war, denke ich, dass sie einen ziemlich guten Job mit den Fans gemacht hat. Beim Glastonbury 2008 waren die Zeitungen wieder einmal verärgert, dass Amy einen "Fan" geschlagen hatte. Das war wieder Unsinn, der "Fan" hatte ihr zuvor einen Hut zugeworfen.

I guess it's sad, isn't it? She wasn't prepared at all for fame and the cost of it. The overwhelming fans and paparazzies that would surround her on a daily basis must be so difficult, plus the decline of her mental health and addiction made it even worse. I think that she was a very insecure person, someone who wouldn't really think much of themselves; maybe that's a reason why she didn't understand why she had fans or why people would admire her or her music.
