Does anyone know why she sometimes called herself "Gemma"? It seems to have a personal relevance between her and Blake.

Where did you read "Gemma"? Genuinely curious because I only ever heard that she called Blake her sailor and he called her his gem. Never heard gemma.

I've seen it said that it was "code-name" she used to write to him in jail but she seems to have used it at other times, too. Maybe it was just a play on "gem"; I thought it might have another meaning.

She used the code name Gemma when writing to Blake in prison she used it on a Valentines card. Why Gemma I have no idea.

I think the nickname was Gem at first but somehow she started using Gemma too.
