Not a nice thing to say to a recovery addict, right?

Do you think it was necessary? Has she ever apologised for saying that?

This is the article in which Charlotte speaks about Amy https://www.digitals...-was-horrible/

And this is the actual perfomance in HD

Amy had a off night,it happens. People weren't too empathetic back in the 2000's and early 2010s. A lot of people were aholes. So they said insensitive crap like that.

In Janis’s book, she said that the band played in a key too high for Amy. That isn’t the only reason, but would certainly contribute to her performance….

I knew she talked shit about Amy but I never read that article... Honestly the whole thing was dumb af. Amy likely did not want to do Beat It. Plus Amy was fucking tortured her whole life; so not only was she struggling with addiction, but it was also a pretty punk rock thing to do because wtf was that idea anyway?

Anyway, Charlotte who?

Charlotte said some nicer things when Amy passed away, she also wrote about it in her book a few years ago.

i agree it was a bad performance but janis said that amy didn't want to do it & self sabotaged it (which is not new). however, it was incredibly unnecessary to speak about it considering it was four years later and more information about amy's issues was publicized. in 2010, surely charlotte should've known amy was struggling and recovering from a dark place. even if she was unaware of amy's problems (highly unlikely) she saw something that night when she looked dead at amy singing "you're playing with your life, this ain't no truth or dare..." plus who even is she? i bet most, if not all views are/were for amy.

I know we're fans of Amy, but that doesn't mean we have to excuse her behavior. It was unprofessional to be that intoxicated during a performance with another artist. If she didn't want to do it, she should have canceled. This is about being professional, that's all. Charlotte is allowed to share her experience and doesn't need to apologize. Yall shouldn't disrespect another female artist because you're a fan of Amy.

Amy was booked for an interview, she wasn't told that she would perform and especially not that song

She didn't want to perform with Charlotte Church and it showed.
