Amy bootlegs on eBay

Since a longer break (was broke!!) I just went to see what Amy stuff they have on eBay. Geez, seems like everybody is milking her for what they can. Badges, pictures, mugs, fake karaoke CD’s, corny biography books etc. Nevertheless, I found three bootleg vinyls that look really good. I think I’d purchase them if I had a record player.

Side A - Monkey Man - Hey Little Rich Girl.
Side B - You’re Wondering Now - Cupid.

The Single Is On The 2 Soul Record Label And Limited On Grey To 200 Copies Worldwide.

I bet Amy’s record label doesn’t know anything about this release.

A1. YOU KNOW I’M NO GOOD (LIVE)
A2. WAKE UP ALONE (LIVE)
A3. VALERIE (LIVE)
A4. TEARS DRY ON THEIR OWN (LIVE)
B1. REHAB (LIVE)
B2. ME & MRS JONES (LIVE)
B3. LOVE IS A LOSING GAME (LIVE FEAT. MOS DEF)
B4. BACK TO BLACK (LIVE)
C1. REHAB (FEAT. JAY-Z)
C2. REHAB (HOT CHIP REMIX)
D1. TEARS DRY ON THEIR OWN (NYPC’S FUCKED MIX)
D2. YOU KNOW I’M NO GOOD (FEAT. GHOSTFACE KILLAH)
D3. YOU KNOW I’M NO GOOD (SKEEWIFF MIX)

Fake as it gets. I think I must have seen this before together with a better quality picture. The sleeves looked pretty proffesionally made.

Even though they say it’s a “European Import LP” I would bet my both hands that it’s a bootleg. Ain’t nothing official about that release.

Now, I was wondering if it makes sense for me to purchase a record player just to listen to some vinyls??? LOL What do you think?

2

is there a link for this?
id like to buy them.

3

Well I didn’t post links since people might think I was the seller or something. Besides there are many copies for the 1) and 3) that I posted, you can just log on to www.ebay.co.uk and do a search. Or simply search Amy and select Records (as opposed to CDs) from the options.

4

you can get these turntables that hook up to your pc for not too much $$. i have my old one 'cause you know, being old i have TONS of vinyl which I play. some of it even sounds better than the cd’s. but i wouldn’t mind converting some of my vinyl or at least getting it into my windows library so i think i may get one.

5

I have no clue where to go looking. Do you have any hints??

6

They should be quite easy to find in shops. I quickly found mine, anyway, and it wasn’t even in a specialised shop.

7

try this, if it doesn’t work I’ll try something else

I totally hate shopping. :((( Just today I went to a mall to buy a formal jacket, needless to say I didnt get it. The ones I liked were like $200 (I just need it for one occasion later this month) or total crap. I refuse to buy a jacket for $200 when I know I will be wearing it once in two years.

9

Wow that looks really good. Too bad they don’t ship this kind of articles to where I live. :(( I might fly somewhere else to bring it home though.

10

So do I.

Anyway, I hope you’ll find a good one soon (turntable and jacket).

11

I am not a bootleg fan. Unless you like poor sound!

12

I think I’ll drop the jacket idea. I’ll just wear something I already have.

13

omg i want one.

I’ve been sitting on this link for a while now and figured I would post it here.
I really don’t want to start a new thread for just about everything, I hope everyone will find it in this post!

Here you can get alot of free bootlegs: http://www.guitars101.com/forums/tags.php?tag=amy+winehouse

Just wanted to share with all you guys, I bought a bootleg once, and I didn’t even realise it before it was infront of me, since I’m not really pro making-money-on-someone-else I figured I could spread the word where you can get most of it free.

Cause buying a bootleg does not give any profit for the foundation and that kinda pisses me off. Sorry for rant, enjoy the link guys!

Does anyone have the Black Is Back bootleg and would be willing to sell? I’m desperately trying to search one out for my girlfriend :(.

Thanks,

16

Back to black??

17

Naw. It was a bootleg called “Black IS Back”. It looks like it was really common before she passed… At least in Europe/U.K… Unfotunately, I’m in the U.S… My girlfriend’s a huge Amy Winehouse fan (as am I), and I work at a record store, so for x-mas, I got her every record I could find (Back To Black, Frank, Ska EP, Nelson Mandela, The Specials) and a cd copy of Back To Black signed by Amy. Black Is Back is the last one she’s been searching for! Any help or hints would be much appreciated!
