Amy is the new Marilyn Monroe. Her beauty is timeless and she inspires hundreds of people worldwide. Many people, especially fans or even collectors might be interested in what products Amy used in her lifetime.
I thought about creating a thread where I conclude ALL the products I found through my research. This includes photos with Amy using the products, findings on articles, interviews, books, or simply mentions on the internet. Some are also my personal observations (for example in lipstick colours and swatches or products I personally know or recognise). I’ll include links to the pictures I found for reference. (I hope the links work fine because it took me forever to upload some of those. If they don’t work please let me know so I can upload them somewhere else)

Something to mention. Amy didn’t get paid endorsements and didn’t advertise things for money. She was always honest about her opinions and she was kind enough to share her favourite things during interviews.
All the products listed here are things she definitely used at some period in her life.

  1. Chanel Mat Lumière Long Lasting Soft Matte Foundation with SPF 15
    (As can be seen in Naomi’s Parry book ‘Beyond Black’)
    Not sure which year she was using this foundation but from the looks of it somewhere around 2011 judging by it’s good condition.

For reference difference in foundations; radiant lightweight with a natural finish (circa 2007) versus ultra mat (circa 2010)

From what it seems Amy preferred foundations with SPF in them. (Since most had some sun protection in them)

Unfortunately this specific concealer is discontinued but a new variation from the Healthy Mix line just launched in the market with a different applicator and packaging.

4) Undisclosed Chanel Compact Powder
Naomi Parry mentioned in her ‘Beyond Black’ book one of Amy’s compact powders and she just wrote on the credits ‘Chanel Foundation’.
Unfortunately we don’t know any more information regarding this compact powder other than the display on the book.

Back then extreme highlighters weren’t a big thing (like they are now), but Amy did use a little bit highlight which gave a very natural healthy look to her face.

I do believe Amy had an oily/combination skin and she had a natural radiance, like here:

The only year her skin was dry and apparently in a bad condition (which was justified) was during her heavy drug use in late 2008.

I wonder if she used it also on her face to highlight dry areas (like Marilyn Monroe did which Amy was a fan of). I wonder what purpose the Vaseline had inside her makeup bag. I’m sure it had some, it couldn’t be randomly thrown. Amy might have used it with her makeup. We just don’t have any specific information about it.

Amy would use blush in moderation and she went for more natural tones, sometimes she wouldn’t wear blush at all (especially in 2008).

It was also an advice her nan gave her regarding coral makeup. “It goes well with every outfit”. An advice Amy well kept.

    Her stylist Naomi Parry did a collaboration as many of you know with the brand illmasqua. And in a YouTube video she talks about how Amy’s favourite blush was from their brand and it was a creamy blush she would use with her fingers and no brushes.

    It is an eyeliner with a very stiff tip (that reminds me of an eyeliner pen) and a thick applicator for easier and quicker dramatic looks. (Not recommended for thin natural lines)

2) Lancôme Artliner Eyeliner Tracé Dense

A thin bristle for more natural looks.

  1. Amy also used to do her eyeliner with eye pencils back in 2002 - 2003.
    There’s a Rolling Stone interview where her Louis Vuitton bag broke apart and all her personal belongings fell to the floor.
    They described what she had inside that bag in detail here, and mostly were eye pencils.

    It is a mascara that gives volume & length but it makes the lashes a little clumby.

This is unfortunately a discontinued mascara.

3) L’Oréal Paris Extra Volume Collagene Mascara
(Which can be seen at Julien’s auction. I assume she used it a few months before she died in 2011 considering the mascara still had the wrapping seal at the bottom, it was new)

Amy sometimes used fake eyelashes and sometimes she didn’t. In general she was gifted with a good pair of long eyelashes. She didn’t really need fake lashes because the bold eyeliner was enough to compliment her look. But regardless, she rocked some.

Contrary to popular belief, Amy didn’t wear lipstick all the time. In most of her pictures and some of her performances she wasn’t wearing any lipstick or even lipliner, especially during the Back to Black era.

As mentioned before Amy wore more girly colours in Frank, more neutral in Back to Black and more sexy and vibrant in 2010 - 2011.
She preferred coral and pink tones (as was confirmed by her stylist Naomi Parry) because her nan advised her to wear those. An advice she well kept through the years.

8) La Prairie Cellular Luxe Lip Enhancer
Her makeup artist Valli O’Reilly said in a video that she used this lip balm on her originally as a treatment because Amy had dry lips. But she left it on by itself because she loved how it looked on her. It has a beige color with a slight tint of coral to it, and a moisturising finish. It almost looks like Amy is wearing concealer on her lips. But it is actually this lip product.

9) MAC Viva Glam lipstick in the shade: I
(As the event was mentioned in the ‘Property From The Life And Career Of Amy Winehouse’ book by Julien’s auction)

Amy attended a stage performance for the MAC Viva Glam collection launch in 2004 and I think that she was probably given some products as freebies during that ordeal. It is strictly a speculation of mine and there is no verification for my claim. It’s just that the shade is way too close to her lip shade.
It is a matte burgundy color with a slight hue of red, blue and purple mixed together. It’s such a perfect lipstick and my favourite from the ones she wore in my opinion. It’s perfect for fall/autumn and it fits perfect to the one she’s wearing on the picture. What do you think? Is my prediction correct? Let me know in the comments below.

Amy loved a good hair accessory. At often she would use her beehive as storage lol
As quoted by Tyler James book:
“Amy would always lose everything, especially her phone. We were looking for her phone one day, hours and hours of ‘where’s my phone?’. Then we could hear it ringing somewhere really near. She burst out laughing, shouted ‘Hold up!’, put her hand into her beehive and pulled out the ringing phone. I was pissing myself. She wore her beehive indoors as well as outdoors now, usually one of those big ones Alex attached, so she’d keep things in there so she didn’t lose them. She hid drug wraps in there too.
Her beehive was now a work of art. In the early touring days of Back to Black she’d send herself up, she knew the beehive was just as famous as she was and sometimes, when the gig was over, she’d have fans backstage. There’d usually be little girls there who loved Amy, with their mums, and sometimes we’d take one girl and her mum into the dressing room and Amy and Alex would beehive the little girl up. Based on my research Amy used to have an oily/combination skin during the Frank era, a drier during the Back To Black era (since she was suffering from impetigo), and a normal skin during the Lioness era.
As Tyler James mentioned in his book:
“Her skin was naturally quite bad when Frank was released.”
“She was always given cosmetics and skincare freebies – it was all free, hundreds of pounds’ worth.
Amy loved a freebie, she’d say, ‘Clear the shelves, Tyler,’ and we’d end up with bags of free Clinique and Dermalogica.”

Unfortunately I was able to find only one product and that was in a photoshoot in her bathroom back in 2004 with Charles Moriarty.

    Juliette Asby said in an interview that they will spend hours inside the bathroom all the girls. It was their favourite place to hang out.

From what I could tell Amy loved sweet perfumes and she often wore something that was usually popular during those days. She liked smelling like a sweet desert (as was confirmed by her stylist Naomi Parry) and she would mix perfume with gourmand body lotions for a sexier vibe.

A signature perfume for Amy. This perfume was released in 2000 and it’s safe to assume she used it in the duration of the Back to Black era. A perfume that was a favourite since she emptied it. (the empty bottle can be seen as proof at Julien’s auction)
Her stylist Naomi Parry also replied to an Instagram fan question regarding Amy’s signature scent:

3) Undisclosed Dior perfume
At the Julien’s auction an empty ‘Dior perfume’ box was in a lot which eventually got sold but we didn’t manage to figure out which perfume it had inside. Judging from Amy’s style of perfumes it had to be something sweet or gourmand.

  1. Mugler Alien
    I watched a behind the scenes video from the ‘Back to Black’ movie with Marisa’s Abela makeup artist and special effects designer that stated that Amy used Alien by Mugler in some period in her life. So Marisa used it aswell to get in the role.

    This perfume was released in 2005. If Peta’s Dunstall beauty secret is correct then Amy used it during its release in 2005 or somewhere around 2006.

5) Chanel No 5 After Bath Pressed Body Powder

Even though this is not a perfume, it is a talc based scented powder. Assuming she loved the 50’s & 60’s Chanel No 5 couldn’t be not included in her list.
Also Sam Shaker, the owner of the Jazz After Dark pub and a friend of Amy said this in a Facebook post:
“I still feel Amy’s spirit in her VIP room at Jazz after Dark. After midnight (which is the time she normally came) we can smell her favourite perfume Chanel No 5 there. God bless you Amy.”

    In an interview with illmasqua, Naomi Parry showed the inside of Amy’s makeup bag. In the video we can see 3 nail polishes. I already mentioned the two shades previously, but I have a hard time finding the third one. It’s a hot pink with purple undertones. It can be seen here:
