Hello all. The forum is growing quite popular now. We’re getting alot of unique hits a day and I’ve had to upgrade the forums bandwidth twice in the past couple of months. I’m not working at the moment and my bank account is slowly but surely decreasing by the day and so I wanted to have an option for you guys to donate money to the forum to keep us online. Any money donated will be used towards the forum. It will sit in my Paypal account until I need to use it for forum renewal and upgrades. So if anyone has a spare £1 lying around please donate. Any amount of money is accepted from 0.01p upwards. It’s not necessary to make donations but all will be greatly appreciated. DONE! It’s not much that I can afford now because I am broke due to travelling to too many gigs all over Europe 😉 (and still I was not able to see Amy live 😢) - but I wanted to take the opportunity and thank you for running this forum with so much power, enthusiasm and love. :thumbup::worship::hug: But you cant buy a thing for _nice words_ - so some cash is on the way… ---

I just received payments from 3 members. Thankyou so much guys!!! Thats really lovely of you. I expected people to donate, like, 20p or something but the amounts received were really generous and will definitely help with next months renewal. Thankyou sooooooooooo much!! It’s put a massive smile on my face!! :worship: 👍 I am allowed to just leave the money in my Paypal account aren’t I? ---

Are you aware that you have to pay fees to withdraw that money. If the amounts are 20p like you mention you could end up in the red. ---

I don’t understand… Well my knowledge is based on eBay operations. As much as I understand, the sellers have to pay something (a certain amount or a percentage of the transaction) for using PayPal. Maybe it’s different in your case though. Did you read the Terms and Conditions? I wish I was wrong. ---

Only problem was that there is a minimum amount that can be transferred to your bank account (for me it was 10 €). Because the CD I sold was only about 1 € or so I had to transfer 9 € from my bank account to paypal and THEN withdraw the 10€ - you know? If you have a normal account like I do there is nothing to worry about. But better double-check the terms and conditions as Josh wrote. UPDATE: I checked the “help” on the paypal UK-Side: Question : What are the fees for Personal accounts? Answer : There are no fees for Personal account holders to send money in the same currency. Thanks guys. I know that Paypal take a percentage of the money people send to me but it’s only been afew pence. For example, someone sent the forum £10 and paypal took 0.59p from it which is nothing at all. That’s the only amount they’ll take right? I’m guessing this is what you’re talking about…???
