Notifications, messages, settings on the left side. With icons (ex: mail letter for messages, gear for settings, ect.).
Customizable colors. You can chose another color than orange when logged in.
I have more ideas, but thoughs are just a few.
I’ve been thinking lately that it’s quite difficult to find interviews with Amy on the forum because they’re scattered all over the place. Maybe we could make an “Amy Interviews” section under “Amy Winehouse” seperate from the “Anything Amy” subforum, into which I can move all threads with interviews. What do you guys think?

I made a little whatever to show my vision.
Nothing special.
I guess I just would like to see the site more customizeable. Like the colors in the photo you can change, you can find things easier, ect. When I think about it now, the other ideas I think I had were just that it was a little more clear. The site is very 2D, and relying on descriptions rather than icons.
So for example instead of “Thanking/Liking” a post it could just be a thumbs up.
These are just ideas from what I like on other social media, so IDK how much work it would take to do these things.
P.S. @Cecilia @v_melnik Since you both are mods, do you know how long it will take to do this or what the site is capable of being?

OOOH!! ORRR Instead of just being Notificaitions, Messaging and Settings you could customize what you want!
Hey, i just thought to myself, “New Year, New Style”, of course its my like 5th month on the forum (WOW, time flies when youre having fun), But i message on Private Messenger alot, and, it only sends me emails, which may come like 5 mins late (no big deal) but, i think we should have a notification thingy, like, for example, when you open “YouTube” it shows, “Would you like to receive notifications” or something like that. so, in the browser, instead of sitting in the PM section refreshing the page every 2 secs, it sends a notification, also, while i wait on the message, i like to do other things, so, it could help in multiple ways!

Can we get notifications for PM??

I would like to admit that the software running our forums is pretty old. One could consider it outdated. Thus, it would be a little bit tricky to implement new features without a major upgrade of the software.
Later, when I have much more time, I will migrate our forums to another (much more modern) platform, but no one knows when these times come.

also with switching there is always the chance of loosing some amy media which i would never want to risk since it’s already to scarce. also the website layout brings a lot of nostalgia to more og amy fans that have been on this site since before her passing

Yes, the current layout has remained unchanged for almost 10 years. Frankly speaking, I still miss the older one (in red and black tones), but I had to upgrade the software in 2014, as the previous forum’s engine was really old, rusty, and unstable. So, there was at least one successful switch, and we didn’t lose any content.
P.S. Damn, what an unbelievably huge amount of free time I had back in 2014…

Isn’t the red and black one a skin still? i wasn’t on in 2014, but I’ve seen the forum on the wayback machine! lol,i had alot of time back then! and cant we preserve most of the content by archiving it?
