Self-styled Queen of the Brits Amy Winehouse took to the stage in Birmingham last night for a sell-out show fresh from award victory.
The outspoken jazz singer, who was crowned best British female at last week’s ceremony has seen album Back to Black sail up the album charts since her win.
There was much anticipation about her performance last night, with most fans wondering if she would show at all, and whether she would be intoxicated.
And Winehouse certainly looked as if she had a few drinks by the time she took to the stage at 9.45pm and was met with jeers and boos by fans who expected her an hour earlier.
She sailed through first song Know You Now confidently before becoming fidgety and spending most of her time checking her hair.
She then failed to join in with the start of the second number Tears.
But luckily for fans once Amy realised she wouldn’t win the battle with her hair she gave it her all for the rest of her songs which included Just Friends, Addicted, and He Can Only Hold Her.
But performances of Rehab and I’m No Good were the best numbers of the night.
Considering she is being hailed as the next Aretha Franklin, she still has a lot to prove.
