Quite an interesting article. I wonder why the audience weren't enjoying her performance much? She does often look very bored and un-interested during her gigs but isn't that just Amy? I've never really thought before that it's because she doesn't want to be there...

hi ya,
i was at the Brum concert, my first time seeing Amy, and I came away feeling pretty disappointed. First off, she came on stage at 21.40 hrs. which is the latest I've known anyone to start at Bham, partly destroying the good vibe that had been built up by Mr Hudson & Library. She thewn 4got/ fluffed the intros to her first 3/4 songs !!
She looked and sounded pretty pissed/ monged, and she kept pulling at her hair and cursing to herself when she got these first songs wrong. She was ever so nervous. I felt sorry for her, she looked scared. I was disappointed with the quality of her singing compared to her records. Instead of singing the words she seemed to groan her way through the words at times. The crowd were really up for it and shouted their support for her throughout, and she did improve, but it was still a disappointment.
I saw her later on at Shepherds Bush (Elton John night) and that was a totally different performance from her. She was happy to be there, always smiling and blowing kisses to her new hubby, and her singing was absolute quality. She still needed 2/3 songs before she really hit top form but after that she was quality.
c ya,
ned
