one of my mom's co-workers was in Savannah, Georgia visiting her mom about 1 or 2 weeks ago. she went to this small pizzaria with her family and there was a little stage and this guy was performing. all of a sudden he announces that his friend is visting from the UK and that he would like for her to come on to the stage. he introduced her as AMY WINEHOUSE! the co-worker knew it was Amy because my mom had been telling her about Amy and how obsessed with her i was. if i would have been there i could've have gotten a free, intimate concert and a chance to meet Amy! i was so jealous when my mom told me. just thought you guys would like to know

Oh wow that would have been a great show!
i know right? nice, small pizzaria on the water? SO LUCKY. i'm actually gonna meet the lady later on this week, so i'm gonna press her for every little last detail. i'll fill you guys in of course. :]]]

i had lunch with the lady on thursday, and she thanked me so much for letting her copy my Amy CDs. she told me the pizza place was in a plaza, and as soon as Amy came on, all of the people in the plaza were freaking out and running toward the stage. she said she played a ton of songs. i asked her which ones, but the only ones she could remember that she sang were Me and Mr. Jones and Moody's Mood For Love. so that was cool!
