That's what I'm confused about? You're an ex-pat right? Enlighten me, please!

Well I've never heard of voluntary arrest before but then I emmigrated 18 years ago so what do I know? You can refuse to answer questions in order to prompt an arrest and that gives you legal recourse if you're arrested in error. But if there's nothing to charge you with why do you need to be bailed out?
The DNA test seems weird to me too. So if they find her hair in the computer keyboard or a flake of skin on a cell phone what does that tell them about on-line banking or what she said to anyone on the phone? Please don't tell me she licked her fingers and got her saliva on 200,000 quid in cash:thinking:

I am thinking them same so what it's her money, they've got to prove that she knew something. In fact, to be honest, they messed up the case because no money was exchanged only conversation and talking about doing something and actually doing it, are two different things.

But perhaps they have something up their sleeves, coppers, never there when you need them and always there when you don't.

Don't forget to breathe! Bail is great, that means they only a strong supicion but not enough evidence to keep her jailed so they need more time/evidence and in the meantime she can get her things in order. So far (what we know and the rest of the world) is that that 200,000 is her money BUT that does not mean she had prior knowledge or knowledge at all that the money was going to used for perverting justice. For all she knew, they were planning on buying a new home.

A few months ago there was talk about them buying a second home in Miami. Now if someone from that fair city would phone the Daily Mirror saying that Blake offered them $400,000 for their home then maybe all this would just go away.

:goodone::lol!:
Since I am in Miami, that's a far reach. But it is a sound idea, being that most luxury condos have that starting price. So really your idea about phoning wouldn't be a bad call. Now I'd just have to find a condo, convince the owner to put it in my name and Amy's in the clear!:king:

LONDON, England (CNN) -- Singer Amy Winehouse was free on bail Wednesday after London police briefly arrested and questioned her in a case involving her husband, police said.

Amy Winehouse with husband Blake Fielder-Civil at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Munich in November.

Police would not confirm the singer was arrested and freed, saying only that the case involved a 24-year-old woman, but the singer's representative confirmed it was Winehouse.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police in the London borough of Hackney, where Winehouse was arrested and questioned, said she was released on bail and would return in March pending further inquiries.

Winehouse representative Tracey Miller downplayed the arrest, saying it was common procedure during questioning. She said Winehouse went in voluntarily.

"She was not charged and has since left the police station," Miller told CNN.

The arrest is the latest in a string of problems for the singer, who has become as famous for her drug and legal troubles as for her Grammy-nominated soul-inspired music.

Winehouse's husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, is currently in jail on charges of perverting the course of justice following a bar fight.

The "Rehab" singer was pictured earlier this month wandering a London street barefoot, wearing only jeans and a bra, and appearing disoriented.

Soon after her husband's arrest, Winehouse slurred and stumbled through her gigs and derided her fans, who booed. She later canceled all her concerts for the rest of the year.

Winehouse went to a drug rehab center in the summer, but in October, she and her husband were arrested at a Norwegian hotel for marijuana possession.

Her parents have publicly expressed concern that Winehouse is succumbing to the pressures of fame.

Winehouse received six nominations for next year's Grammy Awards, including best album for her second release.
