"Johnny Ikon is hearing that Amy Winehouse just touched down at Gatwick, reportedly sobbing as she made her way through the airport and a battery of paparazzi photographers.

Big welcome back, Wino!!!! Can't wait to see what she gets up to now she's back in London!"

She looks well... especially in that dress,

Nah, hope it's all good, and she's about to knuckle down to some recording.... :) and stay away from the bloody Hawley et al!!

Welcome home, Amy!

(Is that Neon in the car with her?)

She looks really pretty in that pic (and that Fred Perry dress is still so cool!) She still looks really thin, at least on the Dailymail pics tho. I'm really expectant. But I preffer her to be here where she can be closely looked over by her family.

Those freckles and hair are dreamy. So glad she got back to where she belongs (whatever that means).

It does look like Neon yeah!

Her nails look nice but fake freckles freak me out. She's beautiful still.

Do you really think those freckles are fake?! They look pretty natural to me (even if really concentrated on her nose only).

I just realized she's wearing her anchor necklace. *sigh* :)

Might be natural; someone said in an interview a bit back they watched her paint them on, but I'm not sure...

Mine get really noticeable in the spring and summer when the sun is on them.

Nobody likes returning to England after a holiday in the sun - but bursting into tears is a bit melodramatic.

That's exactly how Amy Winehouse announced her arrival at Gatwick airport this morning after her eight-month stay on the island of St Lucia.

As she was escorted out of the terminal building and into a waiting car, a red-eyed Winehouse, 25, couldn’t contain her emotions at being home.

Despite the tears, her spokesperson said: 'She's really happy to be back and can't wait to catch up with family and friends.'

The Back To Black star looked a lot healthier than when she first left for the Caribbean - her once scabby and red skin replaced by a clearer complexion and even the odd freckle.

The singer had been staying on the island since Christmas to record her third album.

But her wild and drunken behaviour has hardly been music to the ears of the locals - many of whom felt that she had outstayed her welcome.

A source said: 'She’s been banned from hotels, the bars don’t want her there, and locals see her as a nuisance when she’s drunk.

'Her friends have all left and gone back home, and her mum and dad couldn’t stay in St Lucia with her as she was acting up too much.'

Amy probably thought it was best to come home before she was politely asked to leave the island.

Before she left for the airport, she took a goodbye stroll along the beach, with one of her stray dogs by her side.

She is back in the UK for a number of business meetings and to continue work on her next album, but it is unclear how long she will stay.

Her fledgling record label - Lioness - is poised to release its first
album, recorded by her 13-year-old goddaughter Dionne Bromfield. The
first single is expected to be released later this year.

Aw, so glad to see Amy's back. I know some press was criticizing her for being "overdramatic" with the tears, but I can't even imagine the flood of emotion Amy experienced upon coming back to the place where so many recent wounds are re-opened. I'm somewhat scared for her, about how easy it'd be to fall back into it all, but I've got my fingers crossed.
