Here in the states, the American equivalent of The Sun: Fox News, established in court that the right to lie all they want is part of their right of free speech. Hope it's better in the UK.

Yes, although the actual court case involved a Fox Network station, not Fox News. But Fox News makes the most use of it because their viewers only care about their prejudices & hatreds being validated, and truth is to them like holy water to vampires.That is dreadful!! Are you serious?! x
