I'll pay you Tuesday for a million today, Sensei Alan.
Seriously, you bring up some rather excellent points. Maybe the Demon Barak has unearthed something terrible that will come this way.

That Barack woman is a flea.
Rakeing up the past...
As I experienced divorce when I was a kid I know how much it damages you. You listen to Amy and the over riding issue in her songs, is that she seems to have a problem with males. She even said the song, "What is it about Men!" is about her father. I reckon that the root of her problem was that divorce when she was 9 and that she never really came to terms with it and I think that is probably because her father with his "Jewish Machismo" would be very reluctant to discuss these issues with his daughter. In combination to this the fact her father saw her as a singer may have added to this in denial of the way she felt.
When you think your parents have done you wrong and they refuse to accept or even acknowledge it then that leads to drink and drug abuse because it makes you feel upset and until they admit it the cycle just perpetuates itself.
Just read the lyrics the speak for themselves...
Understand once he was a family man
So surely I would never, ever go through it first hand
Emulate all the shit my mother hated
I can't help but demostrate my Freudian fate
My alibi for taking your guy
History repeats itself, it fails to die
And animal agression is my downfall
I don't care 'bout what you got I wanted all
It's bricked up in my head, it's shoved under my bed
And I question myself again: what is it 'bout men?
My destructive side has grown a mile wide
And I question myself again: what is it 'bout men?
I'm nurturing, I just wanna do my thing
And I'll take the wrong man as naturally as I sing
And I'll save my tears for uncovering my fears
For behavioural patters that stick over the years
It's bricked up in my head, it's shoved under my bed
And I question myself again: what is it 'bout men?
My destructive side has grown a mile wide
And I question myself again: what is it 'bout men?
These lyrics explain her problem clearly in black and white - back to black etc
