No, unfortunately I wasn't there guys. Amy hasn't been keeping me informed of her plans for some reason, and I don't have an Amy Locator app for my smartphone. But still having a good time in London though. Flying home tomorrow (snif, snif). I'm bound to run into her eventually on some trip though. Just glad she seems to be doing well.

Except when Oceana wrote on myspace that she's recording a new album, I haven't felt like this since I was and Michael released Invincible :D Heart going fast, smiling a lot, make my mom yell at me "shut the hell up, I dont care".. Oh, sweet Amy :D

Yay! It's Dave! Looking forward to your safe return, with pics & stories!

I wanted to like this performance. I really, really did. But - I didn't care for it. Sorry. I couldn't make out a word that she said. She's wiping her nose a lot, too.

I guess it's good that she's on stage.

I downloaded it & played it in a player that lets you brighten a dark picture, and she was obviously drunk as a poet. And I think she was coming down with a cold, because near the end it looks like she tries to hit a really big note and fails. When she knows her voice isn't 100% (Shepherd's Bush), she can make allowances for it.
But as just free-form jamming, I thought the sum of its parts was better than the whole. So many brilliant little touches! Such natural musicality! Like a little bird! I don't care if she is a tape dispenser! I love her!
Yay! It's Amanda! I forget ur never here sundays & busy being a good mom!

I think at around 4:00

"so in the end I did my own thing...
I wrote...."

I think at around 4:14 she sings

"I said said I don't want to die
I said ?mummy? I, I said I don't want to die
I said help me...."

Sounds like she's singing about rowing her own boat alone...:-S

I would absolutely love a full blues album from Amy!

Anyone know what she's saying to the band when she turns around at approx. 1:00 ?

I know it's been posted before, but worth repeating (since we're listening to Amy sing the blues)

Also - Amy & Dionne @ Mitch's b'day party & 2 Mayer Hawthorne free downloads

my fav Amy blues (still waiting for someone to splice the 2 fragments together) is I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know

Edit: Wow! Salaam's video got 566 views in 5 months, Amy's got over 1,100 in a day!

One in the eye for those who said her career was finsihed, and her voice blown out.

She sounds fab. I love it.

:)For some reason I hadn't come around to watching this new live clip, in which Amy, facilitated by those guitarists and a supportive crowd, grabs the opportunity to give a personal and convincing rendition of the blues, like she's done before with jazz, soul, R&B and hiphop. And what a powerful voice she has! Apart from her third album, that will no doubt reaffirm her importance, a whole blues album, like someone proposed, would clearly also be a good medium for her broad musical talent.

Real fans accept anything Winehouse, as long as it's cut with the edge of her knife-sharp talent, mostly as a response to and an expression of having been stabbed in her proverbial heart, which is why her girl says she's too sensitive.
Amy Winehouse died, and she's taken a part of my soul with her. May that part be the love that I felt for her, and may the love that I still feel for her be the undying part of us both.
