A nice interview from 1997 in "The Stage" (before she went to Sylvia Young Theatre School) :)

Wow, thanks! I thought it was a mistake at first when I saw 1997!

This thread is a bit old, and I had never come across it before. Awesome. Thanks for that!

R.I.P Amy Jade Winehouse. Once in a lifetime voice.

To be honest, she sounds quite annoyingly driven and ambitious and certain of her own talent: the kind of person I would not have wanted to be friends with at that age! I proabbly would have been quite jealous of her and intimidated, I didn't like those kind of girls at my school.

thanks for posting!!
You're wondering now, what to do.. Now you know this is the end.
You're wondering how, you will pay for the way you misbehaved.

I will love you forever Amy Jade x

Can't find it at the moment, unfortunately :( I'll keep trying and update the thread.

Although, here's an older post from 2007 that has both Sylvia Young's public plea to Amy (heartbreaking...) and a thirteen-year-old Amy's essay application to Sylvia Young Theatre School.
