No, Valerie is a girl, it was a cover! The original song is by a band called The Zutons. i think she gets away with singing it though, even though it is about a girl, don't you think? >:-)

I always wondered why she was singing about a girl like she was a lesbian? Because the original song lyrics are exactly the same about a guy wondering about his girlfriend "Valerie!"

As for reason why she's not in the video is it because she didn't turn up for the shoot? Had she fallen out with Ronson?

My mate used to do his own interpretations to Five star videos, he'd watch it over again and do his like narrartion on it, was bloody funny. Yea, some Amys song titles, even the unreleased stuff we aint heard, bit of fun. x

she wasn't in the video because the video was made at the same time her and blake had the infamous fight back in august 2007 and she her profile went into the strastophere and she went rehab.
