Tbh i don't really know. I got carpet burns on my elbows once so it can be done Sometimes the best lyrics are the ones that have a sense of mystery about them.

I know that up north in the UK they also change words at times, little to likkle and hospital to hospikal are 2 i've heard a lot. Maybe Amy is known as Amy Winehousikle up there LOL

Yeah, I think it's definitely actual carpet burns. You could get them from being on your knees and elbows or on your back with your elbows propping you up behind you...not to get too graphic. I always thought "likkle" was strange but I just assumed it was another word for little.
Likkle is just little. It's just Jamaican dialect
