Hello everyone! I had the costume party last night. No one made any negative comments to me at all, surprisingly. Everyone said they loved it so much and were shocked to see it. I was happy. Unfortunately, I did drink a little bit even though I said I wasn't. I'm sorry, I feel a bit bad for that but I get really nervous around people I don't know and wanted to feel calmer. No one spilled anything on my dress -- I made sure of it. Ay, I thought I was about to spill out of it, though! My boobs had about had it with the dress by the end of the night. I took so many pictures because I do not know when I will be able to dress like Amy again and I was so happy to do this tribute. Even the tattoos were fun.

ETA: I know that her anchor tattoo doesn't go on her arm, but I put it on there because one of the tattoos my boyfriend put on me didn't work. I decided to use the anchor tattoo since no one would see my stomach anyway. I did put lipstick on initially but eventually it came off. Ah well! I tried my best! I was so ha

Aw, I was thinking about you yesterday! Glad you had a good time, you look amazing! Don't worry about the drinking - a party's a party eh! Hope your head was OK in the morning! I love the tatoos - thinking of getting some just to wear!! haha!

It's not just the costume or the make up, or the tattoos, or even the hair, though they're all very well done, but it's who done it that matters most, and without losing sight of who you are yoiurself, not just dolling up your appearance to merely resemble a star, you managed to be a walking, talking, living tribute to Amy, staying within the spirit of who she was, which some get, some don't, and you do. Nature helped you quite a bit as well, to be fair, as there is a physical resemblance to begin with, especially your eyes, even their colour. ;-)

I can't get over how kind everyone is on this forum. I've been round since 2006 (if I remember right) and decided to register in 2007. I've never had any problems with everyone -- everyone always seems to be here for the right reasons. Even when Amy was going through hard times, everyone was simply hoping for her to pull through and not bashing her. You would be hard pressed to find that elsewhere on other fan forums. I just find it so amazing that this forum is around for our Amy. I am sure she would appreciate all of the kindness for she was very kind herself. Nasha, that was cute that you said you were thinking of me! Aw!

Now that I'm done with my tribute, I feel a sense of sadness today. I was so geared up for it, got busy organizing it and ordering things online, etc. Now that it's over, I just feel sadness and that sense of loss. Really wish I could just hop on the forum as I always did and see what Amy was up to...see new pics, etc. While I'm looking forward to the new CD (majorly looking forward to it!), I really wish she was still around. How many people have suffered a loss of a great, unique person. I was so excited for my tribute to her and now that it's done, I am just wishing she were around!

Thanks for all of your comments, though. Winehousedrunk, you are very articulate...you really have a way of putting down what you're feeling and I respect that. You seem like someone I would like to know in life, wish I knew someone like you as a friend. You flatter me with your comments. I wish I did look like Amy, she was one of the most striking women, I think. I've been told that I do in the eyes and face, I can only wish that were so! I would like to be as thin as she was, for sure, got a bit to go on that one! G-d bless our Amy! Yes, The party was very fun.

HA Northernsky! You made me laugh because my boyfriend said, and what about this Blake fellow? 8-/ He was just teasing me, though. I suppose I wanted to be as accurate as possible. My boyfriend's name is similar enough to that anyway. Starts with a B. ;-) That is funny you say that and a good point that you made. I printed out pics tonight and am bringing them to work tomorrow. Everyone there thinks it's funny what I did because I texted them when I was tipsy and was going on and on I guess. How embarrassing. I had too many shots but next time will not do that! I think I had rum, tequila, jello shots. Ay. I do wish I hadn't done that for the sake of the costume but I guarantee you I kept it classy and no one dared make any comments about Amy while I was there! Just did it since I knew hardly anyone there.

Okay maybe a compromise if there is ever a 'next time' - keep the Blake tattoo but let your mister B-wotsit cross it out and write his own name above in biro.
