If you read her entry on Wikipedia you can see that "R&B" is listed on her musical style. For me, Amy's Musical Style contains Jazz, Blues, Ska, Soul, Reggae & some other smaller sub-genres.
Do you agree with them? I don't know which songs they mean with "R&B". That's weird for me...

I looked up a list of artists under the heading "R&B"

As you can see, it's a pretty long list (including Amy under W) that seems to encompass a variety of styles from Eminem to Usher. I don't know what exactly links them together. Amy herself is hard to classify. She does many styles as you say.She has also blended styles in a unique way that really sets her apart. She is a "soul" singer, I think, because of her lyrics and her intense and passionate delivery whether she's doing more retro songs or more "pop" songs like "Rehab". Rehab is heavily syncopated which is reminiscent of a lot of the old style R&B. I don't think she is a soul singer in the sense of Aretha Franklin who is known as the "Queen of Soul".

Yep, certainly R&B sounds going on, the production from Salaam would have aided that.

Yes, I definitely think a song like In My Bed could fit into the (modern) R&B category. But yes, she was multi-genre'd, multi-influenced. And like Africanfusion said, all the genres that influenced her are (intertwined) branches of the same tree (I like the metaphor, Africanfusion).and there are probably several of these branches in each of her songs.
