Are you buying Lioness?

Guys, of course this is not the third album Amy would have produced if she'd had the chance, but it is a worthy addition to the cannon - there will never be the third concept album. I also think that the insinuations in the press that tracks recorded and not included on Frank or Back to Black were rejected or not good shows no understanding of the process of creating a concept album. It's all about self editing and so Our Day Will Come didn't make it to Back to Black, but thats an editing choice above all else!
What I do wonder is if this the last new material we'll ever hear? There are those 12 demo tracks locked away at Island. I have a feeling that in time they will appear and not just for commercial reasons. But at the moment Lioness is something her family approved (which considering how protective her brother is says something) and it does nothing but enhance her reputation for me.
I'll buy it and treasure it. How magnificent this Lioness is.

Even though I hate Between the Cheats I think its horrible and dilutes her genius.
I just have realized that Frank was the beginning of the development of her brilliance
Back to Back was her peak- pure genius, the right lyrics, music and her outrageously amazing voice.
All of it was perfect, just perfect and I feel that she is more than Billie Holiday or Dinah Washington or the others.
I don't try to compare Lioness to the her past releases. I just see it as the evolution of Amy thru her life. Telling her life story however painful that may be with some of the songs being hit and misses.....

I'm buying it. I like hearing to evolution of the songs from demo to final release.

Why the hate for Between the Cheats?
I think it sounds like Sha Na Na, or like a novelty 50's song that you would hear on a variety show.
I love her as a lyricist because she is so indirect and witty. But this one doesn't measure up.
I'm not hating on Amy because I know she was in a bad state of mind at the time but I just don't think this song measures up to her talents and they should have left it off the compilation

I thought so at first, but the more I listen to and the more I get the lyrics the more I see it as being very ironic - in it's delivery as well as the lyricism.
