Hi All:

As someone who's been listening to "Wake up alone" for 3 plus years...the lyrics are plaguing me.

Is it:
He's fierce in my dreams, seizes my guts, he floods me with dread.

OR:

His face in my dreams, seizes my guts

ALSO:

Is it:
When he comes to me, I drink for him tonight... drowning in me...

OR:

When he comes to me, I drip for him tonight... drowning in me.

Any help would be appreciated!!!! :-S

About drip/ drink, I've always heard "drip", and that's what's written in "Lioness: Hidden Treasures" and "Back to Black"'s booklets.

About he's fierce/his face, I've always assumed that it's "he's fierce", Both booklets actually say "He gets fierce in my dreams", but I'm pretty sure I've never heard her sing it like that...

I have one too, actually: the bit at the beginning of the 2nd verse ; "...... my heart, I'd rather be restless". The B2B booklet says she sings "Regardless my heart", the LHT booklet says "As far as my heart", and sometimes I hear something like "Bothers my heart" (but I could be completely wrong)...:-S

I used to think it was "If I was my heart, I'd rather be restless" but I'm pretty sure it's "As far as my heart, I'd rather be restless".

You know it's funny, I always sang "fierce" but when I saw face I kind of like it better, but if its fierce that's okay by me!

I also thought it was "If I was my heart, Id rather be restless" but the thing about AMY is that she sometimes changes lyrics on live performances. I have heard her sing it both ways... I think on the actual B2B album it's "if I was my heart" and on LIONESS its "As far as my heart" both wonderful lines!!!
