Just seen him advertising this on Twitter... anyone read it?
Sorry if it has already been discussed. I tend to be behind when breaking news.

[h=3]Product Description[/h]This book is dedicated to the late Amy Winehouse, a misplaced genius, highlighting her role in the music world, her great vision and technique, style and simplicity.
She was driven on by an emotional and brilliant power, with her unique contralto vocals and her electric mix of musical genres. There was something about Amy that inspired me, something quite exciting. My book is based on the life of Amy, her ups and downs and is complimented with my very own oil paintings personally commissioned by Amy.
I intend my story to unfold in an honest exposure of the extraordinarily talented Amy, her character, her fast-track to super- stardom, love of art, fidelity, moral values and the final countdown of the greatest singer-songwriter and musical genius of our time.
To write something worthwhile about her I have to get rid of my illusions.

i enjoyed reading the sample chapter about Amy :livid:
i think sam is a bona fide artist and a true friend of amys
he never betrayed her, so whats with the hatred?
i dont think sam needs to sell $3 ebooks to make a buck, as his paintings already cost a pretty penny.

exactly-his amy paintings are exorbitant, imo.....and his other work looks like he's just copying techniques of the past. I think some people have this need to be known and don't necessarily desire the financial gain that could come with it... kind of like Mitch, they just want to be in the limelight... and I believe Amy was that way to a certain extent, but at least she had the talent to go with it.
I've never seen them as true friends, good acquaintances maybe... but I'm sure Amy had a lot of those.

Every celebrity has a lot of 'acquaintances'. I think it's something that comes with fame: fakeness. And don't get me wrong when I say this - but I think true friendship is quite hard, or even impossible to find once you've hit ultimate stardom. Everyone seems to feel the need to use somebody these days. Not saying that it's a real bad thing. It's just how people are.
PS: I like Sam's paintings. I do think he has a talent for painting.

I think Sam is haunted by her death because she was his muse...I don't think it has anything to do with money or wanting to be known through his affiliation with Amy.
Saddly, I think Sam was one of her biggest fans, and just like us here on this forum, he just can't stop talking/thinking about her and how amazing she was...

My book LOSING AMY is dedicated to the memory of my dear friend Amy. It is not meant as a way of making a Buck.
Anybody who reads the book can see that all proceeds from my 3 books (ART I LOVE / LOSING AMY / FROM PARIS WITH LOVE)
wil be donated to childrens charities. They are available on Kindle Fire for £3. I really dont need the money the charities can put it to better use. I hope this clarifies the situation. Have a good day. Sam Shaker.
