also with switching there is always the chance of loosing some amy media which i would never want to risk since it’s already to scarce. also the website layout brings a lot of nostalgia to more og amy fans that have been on this site since before her passing

Yes, the current layout has remained unchanged for almost 10 years. Frankly speaking, I still miss the older one (in red and black tones), but I had to upgrade the software in 2014, as the previous forum's engine was really old, rusty, and unstable. So, there was at least one successful switch, and we didn't lose any content.

 

P.S. Damn, what an unbelievably huge amount of free time I had back in 2014... :-)

Isn't the red and black one a skin still? i wasn't on in 2014, but I've seen the forum on the wayback machine! lol,i had alot of time back then! and cant we preserve most of the content by archiving it?

I wouldn't say that moving some topics to the Archive section would help to keep the content preserved. The content is being backed up on a regular basis for all the sub-forums, including the Archive section.
