I was looking at some old Amy guitar compilations and saw this very short clip. This was performed at the Virgin Megastone in '03 (so very early Frank days), and found this clip was also tacked onto the end of a "Best Friends" performance (starting at 3:34).
Is this an alt version to Best Friends? Or a song that didn't make the cut for Frank? Any ideas?

Hello how are you! It sounds like "Detachment", the same melody could say
Hey! Nice to meet you! That's very interesting—would align with the unreleased tracks thinking.
Very similar melody to Detachment (turned a bit more jazzy during her live show in that clip), but the only thing that makes me think it's not that song is the lyrics. In the clip I hear "...is no fair / if I let myself believe it." The lyrics and audio clip I found after a quick search don't seem to have this:

Nice to meet you too! If several songs were modified in lyrics when it was recorded in the studio, or maybe it's similar, hopefully it's a new song and it sees the light but it takes years and nothing appears

I've been trying to figure out what that last song is forever. Hopefully the new book 'Amy Winehouse: In Her Words' will shed some light on those 'mystery lyrics'.

Interesting! I didn't even think of a studio modified version.
I know the UK Universal Studio exec. destroyed a bunch of her demos so they wouldn't be released posthumously. Wondering if this snippet of a song could be a part of this?

Oh, that's right—the book! Wonder what will separate that book from the multitude of others that've already been released about her. Is this the book that's going to contain a bunch of her notes?

Surely, how nice it would have been if they published those demos, I listen and listen to the verse and it still sounds like detachment what is missing that makes me listen to new songs by Amy I miss her

this couldn't have been detachment as it was recorded for back to black and those recording sessions, but in regards to the song at the end of the clip, it kind of sounds like a version of take the box, maybe like an alt version for live shows yknow?

Pretty sure that Amy did 'Detachment' with the Lewinson Brothers before she was even signed with Universal to record 'Frank'. The songs that Amy did with the Lewinson Brothers were what Darcus Beese first heard in someone's office but they wouldn't tell him who the singer was. It took him months to finally track her down to get her to agree to a recording contract before she signed with another company.
