when members sign up they have to fill out their birthdate.
now this can also be used to prevent members under a certain age accessing certain forums. i dont know if i’ll use this yet but i’d like to hear your opinions please.

im just trying to think what would be unsuitable in certain forums
i suppose the bored thread can get a bit, heated and some things come up
but then if you put age restrictions on the random forum, they wouldnt be able to access the games and stuff like the band one you posted
yeah i know. i wouldnt want to restrict anyone’s access to the random forum.
maybe it’ll come in handy in the future. i’ve been trying to think if there’s any need for this at the moment but i don’t think there is really. no-one has ever complained about vulgarity from members. i mean, i know we have some pretty young members but i think we’re relatively clean here arent we?

the age restriction would be for under 18s anyway. thats what its defaulted as.
