Sorry for the double-post, I couldn’t find these links by searching for ‘Amy and Blues’…I guess you just have to know the right keywords.
It would make sense that Amy was familiar with Dinah’s rendition of Bessie Smith’s song, and then just ad libbed her way through. I think Blues and Soul suit her voice well, really wish there were more songs of this kind out there. I’m not that keen on doo-wop…
