I like it-it really sounds different, but still has that Amy-like cheekiness–and it’s their own sound, nothing derivative about it. I know that Amy hated this song & resented that it made the final cut in Frank. I think she thought that her writing was weak or immature. I recall her saying something like her worst nightmare would be Help Yourself released as a single. I don’t share Amy’s dislike of the song. I love the version on Frank, with the old-school instrumentation contrasted with the modern girl topic.
I sometimes like “transformed” covers; I think it takes imagination to do it well. My favorite Amy cover is the Arctic Monkeys’ version of You Know I’m No Good. Their style sounds so jarringly “wrong”, like they’re having a laugh with the song, but all in good fun. On the other hand, I really don’t like Amy’s version of All My Loving at all. Can’t mess with my Beatles that way…

Well, the Beatles are my favourite band and I _love _her cover. She brings so much more to it, I feel. But, agree to disagree lol.
yeah, they don’t just cover it, they are interpreting it, her voice is also not that bad. they’re making a good impression, i guess, so i kinda like it!
