Missy Wants Amy

Amy might be featured on Missy Elliott’s next album (still untitled, but I think it was rumoured to be called ‘The Countdown’).

Another day, another star clamouring for the attentions of Amy Winehouse.

Back in the lab working on her as-yet-untitled next album, Missy Elliot recently told Vibe magazine that she’s trying to get the UK’s own Amy, Amy, Amy to appear on her next record. " I don’t have her yet ," Elliott admitted, before giving a few more details about the record, due sometime later this year. “I don’t think it’s gonna be any different from what I do. I just try to give the unexpected. As different as it gets right now. My main thing is to get the girls dancing, cause once you get the girls dancing, the guys will always follow. People ain’t really havin fun with it no more, so that’s my main thing - trying to get people back in the club.”

I’ve got to admit, I find a Missy-Amy collaboration mighty intriguing especially if Missy could snag Amy for one of her wild videos.

I thought Missy’s last album was absolutely ass, so I’m not sure how to feel about this..
