Mitch slating Juliette on Twitter

it’s so easy to spot the difference between non-stop tainted drivel and truthful testimony from amy herself and her circle of trust.

juliette dealt with amys addictions in her own way, and that doesn’t mean she abandoned amy or that they stopped loving each other. or that she is a bad person. it only means that juliette would not become an enabler like most people around amy. just wish mitch wasnt slating amys friends like that - it makes him look like a narcissist .. he would come out on top if he took the higher road and stopped attacking the movie, amys friends, or defending his own wrong f*cked up decisions.

LOL that cheered me up! (still feeling depressed after watching the doc).

BTW he’s still ranting on twitter, this time about friends who were excluded from the film.

I used to feel that Mitch, for all his faults, had his heart in the right place. But after seeing the way he has tried to sabotage this balanced and decent documentary - the best thing that has been done for Amy in a long time, thanks to Asif Kapadia and his team - and now a vicious, unwarranted attack on Juliette, I’m no longer sure that the good cancels out the bad. If the foundation collapses through Mitch’s selfishness, he will only have himself to blame. But that’s not really his style, is it?

I met Juliette years ago, seemed ok kind of person.  Mitch is a control freak, the film shows him for what he was-is.   A Prick

You obviously have a lot of resentment towards Mitch, but at least your son is still alive - his daughter isn’t.

…moderator mode on…

I’m not a huge fan of Mitchell Winehouse, but I’d like to notice that we should restrain ourselves from reviling him. First of all, it’s Amy’s place, Mitch is Amy’s dad and it’s pretty obvious that Amy wouldn’t like it. Each of us are welcome to share their opinions, but outraging other people isn’t appropriate here.

By the way, guys, does anyone know when DVD comes out?

I too don’t understand why he lashed out at Juliette. Having seen the film, she didn’t say anything bad in my opinion. What does he mean about the money bit? Wasn’t she signed to Lioness at one stage, or did I imagine that?

What Mitch doesn’t seem to realise is that the more he goes off on one about the film, the more publicity he gives it. So if he didn’t like how he was portrayed he should have just said he didn’t and let it be.

He is Amy’s dad and we should respect that but Juliette is Amy’s friend. I don’t think she would have liked what he said about her and the way in which he publically did it.

Don’t have a clue when we get the DVD, although I believe it’s usually three months after it leaves cinemas. Most documentary style films usually get a quick DVD release, it only took two weeks for the Kurt Cobaine film to hit the shelves, mind you, it all depends on how much money it’s made and who as rights to show and screen, doesn’t channel four film have something to do with its making or distribution? that could play apart. Then you have universal, and the part they had to play, could have something special planned for its DVD release?

Mitch is still grieving. Some people never stop as they do not deal with their loss. My brother died 2 years ago, he was a heroin addict for 40 years. Did I know about it? Yes. Did I ever try to help him?. Yes. Did numerous family, girlfriends, wives, friends strangers, try to help him? Yes. Are my parents bad people for not making him stop? No. He was an adult. Do I still grieve for him? Yes. Just imagine being a parent and having to admit that you may have made some bad decisions about one of your kids and that these decisions may or may not have contributed to their death. Heavy shit… Denial is a defense mechanism for some.

Just wanted to add to this that, after seeing Mitch tweeting yesterday about all her true friends not being included in the docu, I tweeted him asking what Tyler was then as he has been there through everything.

He then sent me a direct message saying he is not including Tyler when he says that, so just Juliette and Lauren I guess. I told him I thought most of the film was beautiful and him continually bashing it only served to give it more publicity, He said he agrees that the start IS beautiful but he will continue to be vocal as long as it is being spoken about.

Just thought I’d let you all know.

Maybe he’s just mad he didn’t get to do the doc so he could go around and get all the attention Asif is getting. He’s super lame. I don’t think Janis has any problems with the film and was probably emotional at the end of it because well, it’s an emotional film. It breaks my heart to imagine what that must be like for her while Mitch is on Twitter, and everywhere else, blabbing about it. He really only thinks about himself.

We all have an opinion on Mitch, but let’s not forget that he is one of the people who were dearest to Amy.

“Who am I to judge Virgin Mary?”

Thanks Gracex I wondered where Mitch stood with Tyler, he seems to be the one friend that was constant throughout her life. I am not dissing Juliette or Lauren because I am sure they had their reasons to cut the ties.

i think, that Mitch and Tyler are getting along very well with each other, but i might be wrong! Or at least, i didn’t hear him say anything negatiive about Tyler, which is very rare, so i guess, he has nno prob with him

I’d love to know what Tyler thought of the crowd that were hanging around prior to and when Blake was in prison i.e Alex Foden/Alex Haines?

Jayne I know Tyler has and had no time for Alex F. Only because I retweeted something Alex said and he messaged me right away asking me not to retweet anything that put his name alongside Alex’s. His words were ‘he is not a nice person’. This was a few years ago mind, but I doubt anything has changed.
