As someone who studied the Holocaust, Auschwitz in particular, this make me want to throw the hell up. This would be a disgusting thing to lie about.
Mitch has done a lot of questionable things, but I don’t think he’d lie about that. but holy fuck, that’s absolutely vile and heartbreaking. I have no words.

I got into a debate with someone a while back about the most harassed musicians in recent years. Now with the Internet and all, celebrities have less privacy than ever. Anyway, my friend had the nerve to say, “Oh, well, Britney shaving her head was pretty sad.”
Uh, Amy basically hit her self-destructive button by smoking crack and heroin like a chimney, and eventually sabotaged her career. Idk how you can compare her reputation with Britney’s? Never in my life had I heard of a female singer get as much undeserved shit as Amy Winehouse. Many musicians have done the same things Amy has done and get nowhere as much hate. Is it misogyny? Antisemitism? Or did she just seem like an easy target because of her issues? Maybe all of the above.
To me, not even Whitney Houston was treated this bad. She’s remembered far more and she hardly wrote her own music.
But I think that what about the disgusting letter is unfortunately true. There is still a lot of anti-Semitism and as a German I am particularly sensitive to it. As little as I think of Mitch - 0 but Amy once again offered a target because of her Judaism, there are so many sick people. That’s why I was surprised that Raye organized a concert in Dubai where Amy promptly “coincidentally” had problems with the technology. Why Amy was so hated - I don’t know, maybe because she was so talented.
I remember a YT video of a German girl watching Schindler’s List for the first time, just gave me a clearer idea of how the German people are dealing with the horrors of their past and it’s sad.
