This is the one with Amy Winehouse. It is The Ronettes’ ‘Be My Baby’ but it is about a b-boy (“b-boy, be my baby” etc). The production is Total Winehouse and the track is essentially Mutya singing the verses on an Amy song. We are absolutely NOT saying that this was something left over from the Amy Winehouse album which happened to be lying around in the office when Mutya went a-visiting one day. As it was on her album sampler, they usually end up floating around online somewhere, but no release date has been confirmed yet, maybe it will be mutyas second single, so maybe around the time her album drops in june
some more info i acquired is that it features something i would love to hear, mutya doing some MCing, a totally new thing for her, with her attitude and style she should carry it off well, and with amy on this track, well, need i say anymore
ok so mutya did a showcase at borderline the other night and performed a set of her tracks from her upcoming album, real girl, out in june, and one track she performed was B-Boy baby, unfortunately amy was not there and i couldnt make it, but i found a video on youtube, its only a short 20 or so second clip and its sounding great, cant wait to hear the album version wih amys vocals too, mutyas new stuff is currently my new drug
I generally couldn’t wait for Mutya’s new material but let alone the fact she’s collaborating with Amy is really, really promising! Thanks for posting this video on here xx
NEWS - B-Boy baby has been confirmed as the third single taken from Mutya’s debut album im really happy, its a great song and another chance for amy to get coverage also it will help mutya, she has kinda gone un noticed since her debut single, and latest single, just a little bit, well, kinda flopped so yeah it will be Mutya’s new single, hope amy is in the video
